I really like this band.
But I heard them on TV.
I've been doing some research to see what kind of band they are.
Are they manufactured?
But the music is really good.
Am I just being too emo?

Sometimes.... in rare situations.... you find yourself really liking some song from an artist or genre you have zero respect for.
Guilty examples on my iPod that I hope nobody ever sees: 1 Britney Spears song, 2 Jewel songs and 1 Kelly Clarkson song.
Makes me shudder to write it.
You know which one REALLY bugs me? That with all the vitriol, venom and just flat-out hatred that I have for this band, Matchbox Twenty's "Unwell" is a song I really really like.
These things happen. We can't avoid them.
