LOL Gleefully, Publicly, and Proudly.
And here's why.
The Packers are NOT going to the Superbowl.
Everyone's like "Why are you LIKE that? I mean, it's the Midwest. We should be rooting for them."
Ok, let me call your attention to a little-known faction of sports enthusiasts called "Sox Fans".
Try talking to them about how they would feel if the Cubs blew a World Series chance. Go on. Ask.
Got a whole earful of derision and hate?
Good.
Welcome to why it's ok for me to take a dump on Brett "It's too Cold Outsidefor me not to throw Interceptions" Favre.
Suck it Greenbay!

You want even more evidence? Ask a Sox fan who they'd root for if the Cubs were in the World Series?
Or how a Sox fan would feel if they saw a bear cub playing baseball while wearing white socks!
In 2003, before the Cubs really blew it in the NLCS, there were plenty of Sox fans who just wanted to get it over with and wished the Cubs well...enough. What happened next was of course just more fodder to laugh at for the next 10 years. I think it's a matter of "did the Cubs earn their spot in the playoffs (2003, almost 2004) or did they just wind up in first place because the NL Central is almost a minor league division (2007) while we have to lose 90 games to jagoffs like the Twins, Indians and Tigers?" Well, at least while the Sox are being crushed this year by Miguel Cabrera in their division, Sox fans will be amused when Ron Santo has a heart attack watching Johann Santana bring the Mets to their division champ status, only to beat the cubs in the playoffs yadda yadda...
